A NEW APPROACH TO OUR APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
In response to requests from patients, we are piloting a new approach offering more flexibility.
We are very proud to be able to offer patients appointments the same day or the following day in the vast majority of cases. However, we are also conscious that this may not always be with a GP of your choice as he/she may not have any appointments available that day or may be away from the practice.
From 1st December we have increased the number of appointments available the same day or the following day for all Drs, while retaining the ability for patients to book up to 2 weeks in advance.
If you wish to see a particular GP, then this may involve a wait, but you can book ahead especially if the problem involves non-urgent issues. For those for whom we cannot offer a convenient time within 48hrs and where they believe their case is urgent then please inform the receptionist and we will arrange for a GP to telephone you as soon as possible (normally later the same day).
We are very sorry if you have been experiencing problems contacting the surgery by telephone. Our phone system is part of a much larger network across Wirral, and Wirral NHS Community Trust is trying hard to find a solution. Please call after 11:30am for any queries other than to book an appointment (prescriptions, results, etc) in order to bypass the busy morning period reserved for appointment booking. If you are interested in booking appointments and ordering your repeat prescriptions online, then please email us or fill in a registration form within the practice.
